From Nate’s mom …

April is Autism Awareness month (I know it’s not quite April yet). Have a peek into the world of little Nathan, so beautiful, unique and special. And yes to calm him down we had to get out the phone to watch cartoons. So what. Mom’s get judged for everything we do, so I thought I’d share the moments in between as well, Nathan in his own world watching Zig and Sharko (a cartoon with no talking in it, because those are his favourite).
We need to teach our children to not judge other children who are a bit different to them, whether that difference is physical, mental, social or emotional; and that starts at home. Speak kindly of others, don’t judge, don’t be nasty to those who are different. We’re all doing the best we can. All children are full of love and kindness, be aware of it, embrace it!
